About Uploading Subs On Addic7Ed.com
Just registered on addic7ed.com so as to upload translated subs.
Got notice that I must be a few days before I can upload. But I just uploaded a sub for Walking Dead. I tried the good wife, i can upload, but when i tried the mysteries of laura, i got the notice again.
Question:
1- Is there a limit on upload for users newly registered? Why for some subs, i can upload, for some i can't?
2- A few days in the notice usually means how many days? After that, does it mean i can upload translated subs without getting this notice again?

I just ripped/or under rippment, of the S3, 4, 5 and 6 (only 3 ep.),
but cannot upload any episodes from the DVDRip DEiMOS releases, cause
its selected "for team members uploads only".
I understand the need or restricted, if team members would like to reserve some series for only themselve to upload.
What don't understand, for exemple, in S5 there are 49 episodes.
In this 49 episodes, there are 4 episodes already uploaded, and the last
uploaded was over 500 days ago.
My question is: if you reserve the upload to team members only,
you'll have (I meam the members) to upload the subtitles also. If you
can't, open the upload to everyone.
Or maybe there is an other reason for this Team-members only upload solution.

Can't download subs from Addic7ed anymore
Hello,
For a few weeks now, I am unable to download subs on Addic7ed. Firefox keeps telling me that a script is not responding. Regardless of what I choose (close the script, wait, etc.), nothing happens and I am unable to downloads subs. Worse, the open Addic7ed page makes my browser unresponsive and sluggish. I am forced to close the Addic7ed page (if I can) or even the whole browser.
On Chrome, I still am unable to download subs. Again, I have problems with scripts and Addic7ed keeps trying to open a page to a site called tvhoard.com. This is what Addic7ed opens in a new browser in Chrome: data:text/html,<html><head><script>window.location.href%3D'about%3Ablank'%3B<%2Fscript><%2Fhead><%2Fhtml>
I'm guessing all my ad blockers are causing issues? I'm guessing Addic7ed is trying to force some kind of pop-up or redirect me somewhere?
Can anybody tell me now to get rid of this problem without deactivating my adblocker? Thanks.

Multiple files problem from "Following page"
Hi,
I've experienced trouble downloading subs from the "following" page when logged in. Never tried only one: It happens when specific subs from different shows is picked.
Same as before: http://www.sub-talk.net/topic/4593-trouble-with-multiple-files-on-following-page/
Last time was today, about 15 min ago. Same last week; had to pick the subs individually from each show page.
What happens is a simple time-out after quite som time where the page "is thinking", and afterwords all the shows are gone - as they would be if download went fine.
Picking files and downloading several at once from specific shows/seasons is no trouble, only from where the subs come from different shows.

The Strain (Link) "Episode list and air dates" Broken?
@Admin Hello @ all! if i want follow to the link The Strain = > "Episode list and air dates" and become this message >>"Cache file issue: Cannot open cached XML poss connection issue?" so i can´t follow (looking for Air Dates) or put this series in my fav. Pls can somebody fix that? If i go to any other show, it works very well and i can see it (for my self) in my Favourite show list . Only this link, could be broken?
(Any some other thing is... i want to log in me in, here into this forum with my chrome, he mean my password is wrong! ...i will try it again after 15 min or i go this days on password forget and make them new )

Cannot add shows to "following" anymore
Hi,
a couple of weeks ago I noticed that I cannot add new shows to my "following" list.
The "Follow" check box in the "My Views" page is not there anymore. My account class is VIP, so I should have unlimited "following" shows.

Setting language-filter for shows with apostrophes causes HTTP-error
From the mainpage, select "Childhood's End", Season 1, Episode 1.

Changing language-filter to anything else but "All" leads to this http-error:
400 Bad Request

Issues with site
So I know the site has been going through some issues. Maybe if I can get a bit of clarification it might be a bit better. With the tvrage issues earlier last year I understood why site data was funky but now it's back and the website is saying everything good after the database refresh but it's not.
I can't access any show's overview page - it forwards me to tvhoard whether I am logged in or not - and no matter what browser I use (Firefox/chrome) so I can't keep track of the shows (or find out how far I am some) I am watching. Is this just me or normal? Are we working on a fix?
Also I have found a way to work around getting the subs I need for the new shows but I've noticed there are some typos in the quick search. Who do we talk to about getting those corrected?

Serious issues with "My Views" page
Hi everyone,
I have several serious issues with the "my views" page.
1. At the beginning it shows this:
It's more than 90 pages to scroll down, before I finally get to my shows.
2. Beyond that, about half of my shows are shown correct, but about 30 of them are only listed as **unknown**. That's really annoying. Can anyone help? Has anyone else the same problem?
3. A click on almost every show's name results in a link to a 404-site on tvhoard.com. Only a handful is linked correctly
I already tried different browsers - always the same result with all the above problems.

Can't post comments
Problem:
When I open the page for a single episode, I am unable to post comments, because there is no box to enter a comment... despite of being logged in to my account (see screenshot below):
- Firefox: below the various subtitles I see the white box with comments from other users, and below the user comments there should be a box to enter my own comment and a button to send it. (I have seen a screenshot of what it's supposed to look like). But in my case, the message box (to enter my comment) and the button "Send comment" (or something like that) just aren't there.
- Chrome: not even comments showing up, only a red star/circle, indicating something is loading, but it's loading infinite. Not to mention, that whenever I click something, a new tab or window opens, trying to install some questionable ad/malware extensions.
Also, when I click a user name to open his profile, the option "Send PM" is just non-clickable text, nothing happens when you click it. But using My Panel > Messages > Compose works, here I get a message box to enter text and a button to send it. However, the text box for posting comments remains missing.
Can someone help me? Someone have a solution?
I've been using http://www.addic7ed.com for some time and since the site and people (volunteers) behind it are just really awesome, I registered an account today, to be able to comment and maybe even contribute. But it's not working, sadly, with two different browsers.

Fixing "bad request error" when using language filter for shows with a single quote in the title
Hi,
I noticed that every time I use the language filter for a show with a qingle quote in the title, I get a "Bad request" error page.
When I check the url of the error page, I see that the single quote is not correctly "url encoded". Instead of a %27 ther is only a %
If I change that in the url, the page work just fine, so I think there's a small bug, probably one line to fix in the language filter code.
I'm french, so sorry if my english is not very good.

[Updated] Server Not Found / Website Not Working For Some Users
Some of our users can't access Addic7ed.com, but can access the forum (this one) hosted on the same server.
Judging by this, it's most likely a DNS problem. After checking the domain and settings i found nothing... so i assume:
- Your ISP has to update the DNS records.
- Your ISP filtered Addic7ed
- Your ISP has some technical problems and somehow Addic7ed.com ain't working
- Bunnies took over the world
Since users from more than 1 country reported this.. i don't really think it's an ISP problem.
In case you can't access it, it would be a GOOD idea to ask your ISP about it.
Meanwhile, there's a small fix you can do.
Change your DNS the ISP gives you.. use Google DNS.
Here's a tutorial on how to use Google DNS on your computer (Windows,Linux,OS X): Google DNS Tutorial
Using this should not affect your browsing on other websites or download speeds... in some cases it might even speed it up.
So, spread the word and talk to your ISP in case you cannot access Addic7ed.com

I talked to my ISP and after 30 min they realized that their DNS records werent updated, so all the sudden they didn't have www.addic7ed.com in their records. They recommended me to use Goodle DNS
And now it works perfectly!(Jimmie Leimola)
So.. might not be a filter after all.
